Guwahati, October 27: A wave of anticipation sweeps across Assam and beyond as Roi Roi Binale, the final film featuring the late cultural icon Zubeen Garg, gears up for its much-awaited release on October 31, 2025. The film, directed by Rajesh Bhuyan, marks an emotional milestone for fans, symbolising both a cinematic event and a heartfelt tribute to one of the most beloved figures in Assamese art and music.
Featuring Zubeen Garg in the lead role of a visually impaired artist, Roi Roi Binale blends romance and music through a story deeply shaped by Garg’s own creative sensibilities. The singer-actor not only starred in the film but also composed and performed several of its songs, making it a complete reflection of his artistic legacy.
According to figures available on BookMyShow, advance ticket sales have already crossed ₹75 lakh within the first three days of pre-booking, setting a new record for Assamese cinema. Over 60,000 tickets have been booked nationwide, with multiple houseful shows reported in Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Silchar, and Tezpur, as well as metropolitan cities such as Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Delhi, where Assamese communities have shown overwhelming support.

The film will be released across several cities across India, marking one of the widest releases ever for an Assamese-language production. Theatre owners have also confirmed additional screenings in several locations to meet the surging demand, underscoring the emotional connection audiences share with the late musician-actor.
For many, Roi Roi Binale is more than a film — it is a farewell celebration of Zubeen Garg’s passion, artistry, and enduring cultural impact. His wife, Garima Saikia Garg, who has been closely associated with the film’s promotion, described it as “Zubeen’s final gift to his fans.”
As the release date approaches, all eyes are now on October 31 — a day that promises not only to make cinematic history but also to etch Zubeen Garg’s name even deeper into the hearts of millions who continue to celebrate his life and music.
