The CSC is an organisation of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under Government of India. It provides farmers a fair price for their crop during the Covid-19 pandemic. By using this platform, the farmers can get relieved from the burden of selling their crops in the market.

CSC’s initiative Kisan E-Mart was launched last month to digitally connect the farmers with markets. Farmers and buyers can register on the portal after a KYC verification process. Once the farmer is registered, the main driver of this platform adds the stock of the farmer for sale, at a minimum price. Depending in the stock and quality, the product is sold for the quoted price or more.
