All Assam Restaurant Association ( AARA ) has started a free vaccination drive for all the staff and employees of the eateries of the city from today, the 13th of June. This drive will cover the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. This drive will be organised in Exotica Greens, Guwahati Central Mall Building, Sundarpur in Guwahati.
People other than the employees and staff can also avail this vaccination facility. Interested people must be registered on the COWIN website/ app and must carry the identity proof used during the registration process. There is no need for any slot booking for this center of vaccination.
Apart from AARA , similar vaccination drive is going on for the members of the journalists and other employees of the media and press community in the Guwahati Press Club. Another is being carried out for the film fraternity of the state. Open to all free vaccination drives are also being carried out in Gurdwara Shree Guru Singh Sabha ,Gopinath Nagar and Assam Maheshwari Bhawan, Chatribari in Guwahati.
Government of Assam is already providing free COVID vaccination for citizens above 18 years. People have to register themselves on COWIN and then book slots for the first dose. These centers come in handy for the people who were unable to book slots for various reasons.
