These trains have been provided in addition to the existing 230 special trains including 30 Rajdhani type trains which started w.e.f. May 12 and 200 Mail Express  introduced w.e.f. June 1.

The Ministry is also planning to introduce “clone trains” which will run just ahead of the ones which have a long waiting list for more than seven to ten days.

A large number of Indians work in places far from their homes and they all had to return because of the pandemic. These new trains will facilitate these people to return back to their workplace in the current version of reopening named as Unlock 4.
