After the massive success of ‘Local Utpaat’ last year, Kenny Basumatary and team are ready to entertain audiences once again with a fresh, youthful comedy called ‘Ki Kowa, Dosti..!’ The film will be released in theatres across the state on April 28. The film’s trailer was released on March 14 by Dr Lima Das in the presence of several team members.
Kenny Basumatary mentioned that ‘Ki Kowa, Dosti..!’ is based on simple ideas like his previous films. The plot revolves around four boys living in a rented house and three girls in another. The film is about the adventures and misadventures of the people during this time.
Rupashree Phukan, Shruti Hussain, Rimi Deori, Saju Ahmed, Kaushik Nath, Jatin Das and Dipjyoti Dutta acted in this film. Although some of them have played roles in other films, most of the other cast are fresh faces.
“We also have guest appearances by many wonderful actors, like Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika, Gayatri Sharma, Bibhash Sinha, Utkal Hazowari and Rubul Boro,” added Kenny.
The film has been shot on a Black Magic 6k Pro camera and a production designer has given a vivid look. Kulanandini Mahanta is the production designer, Poonam Gurung is the costume stylist and Suraj Deka handled the camera.
Dr Lima Das mentioned, “If you want a dose of love, laughter and friendship you have to watch ‘Ki Kowa, Dosti..!’ “
Kenny Basumatary mentioned, “I’ve always wanted to recreate the vibe and feel of shows like ‘Friends’, which you can watch over and over again, a world you can escape into. ‘Ki Kowa Dosti’ is my attempt in that zone, the kind of film that friends and families can come and watch again and again, and enjoy themselves each time.”
