Amrita University to host ICPC Algo Queen Girls’ Programming Cup

The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will organize a virtual coding competition for female school students from grades 8 to 12. Named the ICPC Algo Queen Girls’ Programming Cup 2023, it will be sponsored by IBM Quantum, it will encourage Indian girls to take part in coding. They will also receive training in competitive coding and quantum computing.

Multiple sessions, workshops, competitions and career advisement events will be hosted online every week as part of the competition scheduled for February 2023. These activities will allow students to participate flexibly, improve algorithmic skills, learn programming quantum computers get credentials from ICPC’s top-level international events.

Registrations for ICPC Algo Queen Girls’ Programming Cup is free and open on the official website. The last date to apply is the 25th of October.

IBM Quantum is an industry leader in quantum computing. It believes quantum education should be
accessible and inclusive and they is working to reduce barriers of entry for students from around the world.
