Meghalaya Me’Gong Festival 2023 to kick starts this week

Shillong: The second edition of Me’Gong Festival 2023 is all set to enthrall the audience yet again and this time it will be held inside the Baljek Airport. Which is located in the picturesque village of Jengjal in the West Garo Hills District. The festival will take place from 7th December to 9th December.

Late ‘90s pop band Vengaboys will get the people grooving to some of their popular songs. These numbers are hit with the people in the state of Meghalaya. Popular Indian rock band Parikrama famous since 1991 will also perform. Singer Armaan Malik will also be part of the line-up for the Me’Gong Festival 2023.

The inaugural programme of the annual event will be held on December 7. And the audiences will be treated to live shows and a fashion show. The artists’ line-up on the first day includes Never End, Wann Manda, Da Suraka, Colours, RipRap and Parikrama. Street Stories, Silbirth, Markush, DJ Kamz and Brian will also perform.

The second day will have performances from Eh Rngiew, Snam X Kohobodi, G-Hills finest, Saldorik and Trance Effect. Also, When Chai met Toast, Armaan Malik, Velleyborn, Ricky, Jitupan, DJ Static and DBryn will set the stage on fire.

The closing ceremony will be held on December 9. Audiences will be treated to performances from Crack Gang, Chegim Durama, The Do.Pos, Avora Records, Nokpante, Vengaboys, DJ Favian, Amva, Lening, DJ Dino, Cyco.

After the good footfall in this year’s edition of the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival, the organizers are expecting the same for Me’Gong Festival 2023.
