Traffic Police issues restrictions for warm up ODI matches

In view of the upcoming warm up ODI matches, the authorities have announced traffic restrictions in Guwahati. These restrictions are valid for September 29 and 30 as well as October 2 and 3 for the warm up ODI matches. The Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Barsapara will host these matches. 

The following restrictions have been imposed on the movement of the vehicles in the city.

The authorities have restricted the movement of commercial goods carrying vehicles with 4 wheels and above. They have imposed these restrictions on National Highway 27 and National Highway 17 falling under Guwahati. And they are valid from 9 AM to 12 Midnight on the above mentioned days. 

They have also restricted the movement of commercial goods carrying vehicles with 3 wheels and above. These vehicles have been restricted on AK Azad Road and AK Dev Road. This restrictions will be in effect from 9 AM to 12 Midnight on September 29 and 30 and October 2 and 3. Also the AK. Azad Road (Lakhra road) will remain one way from 11 AM  on the match days. 

Vehicles will be allowed from the Cycle Factory side towards Lakhra Chariali. But movement in the other direction is not allowed, except for the car pass holders for the match. The authorities have however exempted school buses and emergency vehicles from these restrictions.

Cars with passes will be allowed on the Barsapara Road from Barsapara Tiniali to Dhirenpara Tiniali. There will be no entry from the other side. 

Parking of vehicles coming for the warm up ODI matches.

The following are the parking spots for vehicles coming via the AK Deb Road. Champabati Field, Ganeshpara Field, Datalpara Field, Champabati Field to Garchuk Tinali (Single line road side parking on one side), Ambari Rangpathar Field and PWD Field, Fatasil Ambari.

For the vehicles coming via AK Azad Road, the following localities have been allotted. Lutuma Field, Cycle Factory Field near Vishal marriage hall, Lalganesh to Saukuchi bridge (Single line road side parking on one side), Rolling mill parking field and Kali Mandir Spring club field, Colony Bazar.
