Pro Tip : Rhino census happens towards the end of February or he beginning of March. During this time, the tall elephant grass is cut down in few regions for better visibility. So the best time to visit is just after rhino census, that is second half to March to mid – April.

Winter season, that is December to January is also a good time to visit.

There aren’t many proper hotels in the vicinity of Kaziranga, but you have something much better. Most of the resorts of the region have tried to infuse and embed the natural feeling for their guests.

If you are a government guy, you will be happy to know that the place has many Inspection Bungalows for various departments. Right from the forest to the public works, all have a place for their employees to take rest.

Few resorts offer exotic food, while few others offer multi-cuisine. But our suggestion is that you try out the traditional cuisines of various ethnic groups of the state and some even beyond.
