Yolo Bus Service to Begin in Assam

Yolo Bus, an intercity transportation and mobility platform, is all set to begin its services in Assam from 25th May.

It is a Gurugram based company founded last year in August.

According to a report, Shailesh Gupta, CEO & Founder said, “Assam is an important part of our expansion plans. With extensive on-ground research and smart network planning, we have figured out how to run a socially distanced transit system, logistically and equitably.”

Initially, the service will start with 10 buses plying on 8 different routes. More buses will be added in the next two months.

The services will be available in Guwahati, Tinsukia, Silchar, North Lakhimpur, and Duliajan. The buses will also ply on interstate routes from Guwahati to Imphal via Dimapur & Kohima, Guwahati to Aizwal and Guwahati to Itanagar.

To ensure safety of the passengers and containment of the virus, the Bus service has adopted several measures.

The entire bus crew will be wearing PPE. The passengers will be able to order their PPE kits before booking tickets. The temperatures of the passengers will be scanned before boarding the bus. The passengers, too, will be able to check the temperatures of the crew before booking a bus.

The company is also planning to introduce a sanitization tunnel for the passengers to ensure utmost safety.
