Meghalaya has Shut Down Entry Points for 1 Week

Meghalaya government has shut down all the entry and exit points to the state starting from Tuesday. The entry points including Byrnihat, Ratacherra, Bajengdoba, Tikrikilla, Mirjumla and Haldiagunj will remain closed for 7 days as earlier notified by the Meghalaya government.

The decision to shut down the entry points has been taken to unburden health and other front line workers, including police personnel.

Entry to the state will be allowed only in case of emergency services including healthcare services during shutdown period.

Meghalaya government had earlier issued a notification stating that the entry points of the state will remain closed for 1 week every month till November 2020.
