Fully Vaccinated travelers to Sikkim need not undergo COVID-19 Testing

With the number of COVID-19 infections gradually going down across the country, more and more states are opening up. And the latest state to open up for tourists without compulsory testing is Sikkim.

Double vaccinated travelers to the state of Sikkim are no longer required to undergo compulsory COVID-19 testing. The previous order made these tests compulsory for anyone coming to the state. Also all limitations to interstate travel have been lifted.

No more restrictions on the movement of vehicles in the state. Even – odd rules no longer apply in the state.

All offices, both government and private ones, will now operate at 100% capacity but COVID-19 protocols must be followed.

All markets, offices and commercial establishments can now operate without restrictions.

Central government offices in the state can now operate as ordered.

All educational institutions will work under the instructions of the education department and the Ministry of Human Resource Development. All COVID-19 protocols must be followed.

There will no more restrictions in any kind of events hosted in the state of Sikkim. Be it political, religious or cultural events, COVID-19 protocols will have to be followed as issued by the central government.

This decision to allow tourists to enter without testing will definitely invite more and more tourists to the state in this season.
