IRCTC all set to start Indigenous Cruise Service in India

The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited ( IRCTC ) has decided to start a cruise service in India. The cruise services will currently be carried out in partnership with Cordelia Cruises.

IRCTC already handles all the railway ticketing and other services related to the Indian Railways in the country. Indian railways figures on the list of the largest networks in the world both in terms of coverage and passengers. With accommodation bookings already available on its website, both ocean and river cruises will now be available on board.

The announcement came on as an announcement by twitter handle of the Indian Railways Catering and Ticketing Corporation Limited. The announcement of a Kerala Delight Cruise Tour was made. The cruise will start from Kolkata on the the 18th of October. It will last for six days and five nights. The cost will start at around Rs. 53010 per person.

Apart from this route, the official website also mentions that river and waterway cruises will start soon. Also soon it will move towards the market of international cruises. Customers can book by paying just 25% of the cost at the time of booking.
