The Indian Railways Catering and Ticketing Corporation has announced a special travel package for visiting the Northeastern part of the country. The journey will start from New Delhi and cover five of the Northeastern States from the 26th of November.

The fifteen day and fourteen night journey package will cover the five North East Indian states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura. Major attractions of this package will include a safari in the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, trek to the Living Root Bridge in Meghalaya, and Neermahal of Tripura.

Part of the Dekho Apna Desh project, this Delux Air Conditioned train will allow boarding at the starting point of Safdarjung in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Tundla, Varanasi, Lucknow, Patna and Kanpur stations.

Prices for the package starts at Rs. 85,495 per person for AC two tier and Rs. 1,02,430 per person for 1 AC. Job holders from various central and state government organizations as well as PSU’s can also use LTC benefits for this package. Only fully vaccinated citizens can undertake this journey.

Apart from delicious food, all tourists will be accommodated in deluxe hotels and transportation will be via air conditioned vehicles where ever necessary. Tour guides and travel insurance will also be inculded.
