British Council starts Online Courses and Workshops

British Council has curated courses for the students of Assam in order to boost their proficiency in the English language. These courses are specially designed for the yearly summer break.

The experts from British Council designed these English language resources to help in the overall skills development for speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Their online library also offers access to world class resources for students, teachers and other professionals to improve their awareness of the world and topics across genres. Using digital platforms for the delivery of the content and experience can continue uninterrupted from the safety of their homes, in the ongoing pandemic led uncertainty.

Young Learners courses are for children of from 5 to 17 years age and focus more on enhancing world knowledge, developing life skills and improving fluency in English to give kids confidence to interact with others. These online courses range from a twelve week to forty eight week learning plan designed to help them cultivate life skills such as leadership, working together, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. The virtual sessions are curated to be interactive, lively, fun and challenging.

The next batch for the program with begin on the 11th of July. Through these sessions children can also win a certificate on successful completion. Children can also choose from a wide variety of e-books and digital audio books, curated age-wise and specially for their growth and development.

While regular books will help children strengthen their receptive skills of language (like reading and listening), these expert curated workshops will help them develop their productive skills (like writing and speaking).
