COVID-19 Vaccination of 12-14 year olds begins from 16th

India has decided to start the COVID-19 vaccination of children aging from 12 to 14 years from the 16th of March 2022.

The announcement was made by the Union Health Minister of Government of India, Mansukh Mandaviya. The process will be flagged off across the the country on the coming Wednesday. As the schools and colleges reopen across the country, the safety of the children is now of paramount importance. These children will be administered with the Corbevax vaccine manufactured by the Biological E. Limited in Hyderabad.

The vaccination of the children of the age group 15 to 18 years were allowed by the government of India only recently. Issued with a gap of twenty one days between the two doses, most of the citizens of India belonging to that age group are now partially, if not fully vaccinated. People older than 18 years are not allowed to enter most public places without vaccination certificates. And with other strict regulations regarding vaccination a large majority of the country are now vaccinated against COVID-19.
