Manipur: Tourism Awareness Programme Held at Loktak Lake

A Tourism awareness programme was organized at Loktak Lake in Manipur on Wednesday by India Tourism Imphal, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with K B Enterprises. The awareness programme was aimed for the tourist providers of ARICA Club Thanga Chingkha.

The programme was attended by a total of 40 participants including boatmen and local club members.

The participants were given briefs on the Digital Programme- Incredible India Tourist Facilitator Certification (IITFC) course of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Along with the safety rules and etiquettes, the participants were also advised to adhere to the guidelines laid out by the government to contain the spread of Covid-19.

Dr K Romeo Meetei, Faculty, Department of Teacher Education, Manipur University and also Secretary India Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), NE Zone, Kunjabihari, Proprietor, K B Enterprises attended the programme as resource persons.

Along with briefing, the event also discussed on how to boost the tourism industry in the state as well as the promotion of  water sports at Loktak Lake.

The organisers distributed T-Shirts, caps and masks to the participants.
