Maiden Direct Flight Between New Delhi-Shillong to Take Off on December 21




The maiden direct flight from New Delhi to Shillong would take off on 21st December. Transport Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar will represent the state government in the inaugural flight.

The flight will take off from New Delhi at 10am on 21st December and scheduled to land at the Umroi Airport at 1.10pm. The flight from Umroi will then take off at 1:50pm and reach New Delhi at 4pm.

The contract for this route was awarded to the new scheduled commuter airline Flybig. The flight will initially operate twice a week. For the flights, Flybig is making arrangements to operate a Bombardier Q400 aircraft available as charter.
