N Biren Singh Lays Foundations for Manipur’s First 5-Star Hotel

N Biren Singh laid the foundation stone for the first “Luxury 5-star Hotel” in Manipur on Monday.  The project is expected to be completed within two years. 

The 5-star hotel will be constructed in Imphal, north of Imphal Hotel. The Classic Group of Hotels has bagged the massive project. It will be created in the Public Private Partnership model between the Manipur Government and the Classic Group. 

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister mentioned that after years of effort, the state will have a 5-star hotel. He highlighted the immense potential for growth in the tourism sector of the state. He also spoke about the need for public support and coordination towards realizing the true potential. 

The CM also mentioned that this project will be completed ahead of the Sangai Festival 2025. The Sangai festival is the most popular tourism event in the state. Manipur sees visitors from across the world during the festival days.

N Biren Singh mentioned that the state has seen a positive change in the mindsets of people. He said that people are working hard and that good work is getting the due recognition. And asked the people to continue working hard and moving forwards. He also mentioned that hospitality is an inborn quality of the Manipuri people and tourists enjoy that. 

He also lauded the services provided by the Classic group towards the people coming to the state. Mentions of the recently concluded Miss India contest and the G20 Summit were also made.

The upcoming project is expected to have 70 rooms. A conference hall, banquet halls, swimming pool, spa, club, gym, souvenir shop and restaurants will be part of the 5-star hotel.  It is also expected to cater to the hospitality needs of the elite visiting the state for events or festivals.
