No More Mandatory COVID 19 Testing in Assam for Fully Vaccinated

A new order issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of Assam allowing fully vaccinated individuals as well as those who have a negative test result without testing.

Strict containment measures including continuous screening of all incoming passengers through airports, railway stations and roads were conducted in the state of Assam to prevent spread of COVID-19 in the state. As COVID-19 positive test results are gradually decreasing in the state and the country and testing facilities are available across the country to provide standardized COVID testing reports within 24 hours and upload the same in the ICMR portal for cross verification. Also there are a large number of Indian citizens who have taken both doses of a COVID-19 Vaccine.
