International Flight Attendant Day

To be a Flight Attendant is the dream of many young men and women of the day. And reasonably so, because how many other jobs offer you money for travelling? Lots of people are also drawn by the glamour and respect of this job. But being a Flight Attendant is not just looking good and travelling.

From wearing different uniforms, to following different rules in different air spaces. There are a lot of duties to be handled by these elegant ladies and gentlemen. Some of them are listed below.

  • To guide and help passengers for safety and comfort. 
  • Always conduct the necessary safety check before flight.
  • Greet and communicate with everyone onboard.
  • Help passengers in any matter.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages.
  • Take orders and serve passengers.
  • Demonstrate emergency equipment and to give instructions to passengers on how to use these equipment.
  • Monitor, manage and secure the cabin during flight.
  • Adhere to all aviation rules and regulations of different countries.
  • Assist passengers and cabin crew during emergency situations.
  • Provide help to passengers with special needs (children, disabled persons, elders etc).
  • Prepare and submit reports on any flight incident.

Right from 1912 when Heinrich Kubis of Germany, who attended the people on board the DELAG Zeppelin LZ 10 Schwaben. He also attended to the famous LZ 129 Hindenburg and was on board when it burst into flames.
