Guwahati, September 26, 2026: The fixtures for the 2026-27 Indian Super League (ISL) have been released, with the new season set to begin on October 10, 2026. The league will return to a full home-and-away format, with 13 clubs competing across a longer campaign. Phase 1 of the schedule will run until January 17, 2027, while the remaining fixtures and playoff schedule will be announced later.
The opening day will feature a double-header. Bengaluru FC will host Sporting Club Delhi at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru at 5 pm on October 10. Later that evening, FC Goa will face Chennaiyin FC at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa at 7:30 pm.
NorthEast United FC will begin their campaign at home on October 12. The Guwahati-based side will face Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai, Guwahati. The match is scheduled for 7:30 pm. The Highlanders will then host Kerala Blasters FC at the same venue on October 18.
The league will also bring ISL football to Manipur for the first time. NorthEast United FC will take on Sporting Club Delhi at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal on November 24. The fixture represents a new destination for India’s top-tier football competition.
The defending champions, East Bengal FC, will begin their title defence on October 18 against newcomers Churchill Brothers at the Fatorda Stadium. Their first home match is scheduled for November 20 against Sporting Club Delhi at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
One of the biggest fixtures of the first phase will be the Kolkata Derby. East Bengal will host Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on November 29 at 7:30 pm.
Another historic fixture is scheduled for December 13, when Churchill Brothers face FC Goa at Fatorda. It will be the first-ever Goa Derby in ISL history.
Phase 1 of ISL 2026-27 will feature 78 matches, with 53 scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. The league will also take a break from November 7 to November 20 for the FIFA international window.
