Phase 1 Fixtures out for NorthEast United FC in ISL 2026-27

Guwahati, September 26, 2026: NorthEast United FC will begin their Indian Super League 2026-27 campaign at home, with the Highlanders set to face Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on October 12.

The fixture will mark the beginning of a new ISL season that returns to a full home-and-away format. The 13 participating clubs will play 24 league matches each over the course of the campaign. Phase 1 will run from October 10, 2026, to January 17, 2027.

For NorthEast United, the opening month will be demanding. After the Mohun Bagan game, the Highlanders will host Kerala Blasters FC in Guwahati on October 18. They then travel to Bhubaneswar to meet Odisha FC at the Kalinga Stadium on October 24.

The team will return home on October 30 to face Bengaluru FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium. All three Guwahati home matches in October are scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The Highlanders will begin November with an away fixture against Churchill Brothers at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa on November 5. They return to Guwahati on November 21 to face FC Goa.

A major moment in the club’s Phase 1 schedule will follow on November 24. NorthEast United will take on Sporting Club Delhi at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal. The match will be the first ISL fixture to be played in Manipur. It also expands NorthEast United’s home footprint beyond Guwahati.

The Highlanders will then return to Guwahati for a November 30 clash against Punjab FC.

December begins with another home fixture against Chennaiyin FC on December 6. NorthEast United will subsequently travel for matches against Inter Kashi on December 12 and East Bengal FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on December 21.

The final Phase 1 fixture for NorthEast United is scheduled for January 17, 2027, against Mumbai City FC at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai.

In total, NorthEast United will play 12 Phase 1 matches. Seven are scheduled at home venues, including six in Guwahati and one in Imphal, while five will be played away.

The schedule also gives the Highlanders an opportunity to connect with supporters across the region. The Imphal fixture, in particular, represents a significant expansion of the club’s presence in Northeast India.

With the season returning to the traditional home-and-away structure, NorthEast United will be aiming to build momentum during Phase 1 and secure a place in the playoffs. The remaining Phase 2 and playoff fixtures will be announced later.
