BJYM hosts bike rally to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas

Members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha from across the country took part in a bike rally in beautiful Kashmir valley to celebrate the Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Happening in the year 1999, the Kargil War was the last military event seen by India. It saw huge amounts of losses in the Kashmir region, both in terms of lives and property. It was won by Indian forces on the 26th of July. Henchforth this day was celebrated as the Kargil Vijay Diwas and this year it completes 23 years. Indians across the world celebrate this day by honoring the brave soldiers who gave their lives to protect the nation. And the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha took out a bike rally to commemorate this day.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Volunteers from all across the country made their way to Srinagar. The president Tejasvi Surya addressed the gathering at the well known Laal Chowk of Srinagar on the eve of the Kargil Vijay Diwas. The following morning the members took the bike rally to the Kargil War Memorial located in the Drass Sector. Where they paid their homage to the fallen heros of this war. BJYM Assam President Sidhanku Ankur Barua was also present along with few other members from Assam.
