Nehars – The Mughlai Darbar has won the All Assam Restaurant Association Cricket League Season 1. The tournament was hosted in the Latasil Ground over the last four days. The prizes of the tournament was also given out today by Devashish Sharma, Commissioner of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation and Pranay Bordoloi, Managing Editor of Prag News.
Fat Belly and The View played the first semi final an J14 and Nehars played the second . The winners were The View and Nehars who played the finals today. In the 12 over final match, Nehars- The Mughlai Darbar beat The View in a nail biter of a match by just two runs. Bating first, the winners posted a score of 105 runs while The View managed to score a total of 103 runs.
Ravi from Nehars- The Mughlai Darbar won the best batsman of the series with a total of 114 runs. While Meghraj of Fat Belly bagged the best bowler trophy with the capture of a total of 13 wickets. Around 18 matches were played in this Season 1 among a total of 14 participating restaurant teams. The organizers were happy on the successful completion of the 1st season and hopeful to organize the next one soon.
