Noted Assamese actress Barsha Rani Bishaya today cut the ribbons to innaugarate the renovated Oriental Bistro restaurant in Guwahati today.
Oriental Bistro is located in the Anityam Building 2, in Ulubari. It serves Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. The new setup has the capacity to serve around fifty guests at one go. A new menu of this eatery was also launched by the guests during the event.
Like almost all eateries of the city, Oriental Bistro too was closed during the two lockdowns caused by the COVID 19 global pandemic. With the limited opening time of eateries, that is till 9 PM, the in-house customers are very limited.
And with the Durga Puja season just round the corner, they decided to give this place a face-lift. The bar setup has been changed and the whole place was made to look more spacious. An outdoor smoking area was also added.
Speaking on the occasion, the management told that they are expecting a good season this Durga Puja and they are also very hopeful that the government allows eateries to stay open for longer time.
With the new regulations issued by the Government, Assam is all set to celebrate Durga Puja this year.
