Sikkim govt allows opening of restaurants, fast food joints with restrictions

The Sikkim Government on Thursday took a decision to give a go-ahead to the opening of restaurants and fast food joints. However, there will be certain restrictions while operating the food joints.

This decision was taken with a motive to boost the state's economy.

The food outlets will remain open from 8am to 5pm just like all the other shops that have been allowed to operate as informed by Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang said in a Facebook post after presiding over a high-level meeting on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sikkim has not reported any COVID-19 positive case so far.
