Nagaland to become a Off-Roading Destination

In an attempt to promote tourism in the state, Nagaland Tourism has decided to conduct off-roading trips and put the state in the list of motor sports destinations.

Dimapur and Kohima are the only popular tourist destinations of Nagaland at present. The Naga Heritage Village of Kisama which is the home of the Hornbill Festival is the most popular location. There are many more beautiful locations and routes across the state which can become popular among the travel enthusiasts. But the roads of Nagaland are known to be treacherous and more so during the monsoons. To use this reputation to their benefit, the state has decided to upgrade itself as a prime off-roading destination.

The Tourism Department of Nagaland has tied up Wander Beyond Boundaries for this form of tourism. They will provide 4×4 vehicles and necessary support to enable the enthusiasts. They will determine the routes and trails for a proper adrenaline rush for tourists. Apart from the risky roads, these trips will also give an insight and experience of the local traditions. The new genre of tourists will be able to explore the natural treasures hidden across the state. They can also try out the cuisines and live with the localities under this new project.
